Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
We respect your privacy. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect very little, we don't sell anything to anyone, our mobile apps collect nothing at all, and you can reach us any time at summerbreezems@gmail.com.
The weekend, in your pocket.
Schedule, map, ticket wallet, and live updates during the weekend — this privacy policy covers the Summer Breeze mobile apps as well as the website. The apps are designed to collect as little information as possible — no account, no sign-in, no access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, or location, no advertising identifiers, no analytics, and no backend servers on our side. Everything you see is bundled with the app or loaded from public pages we operate. Tap a badge below to be notified the moment we launch.
Who we are
Summer Breeze Mississippi is an annual benefit event organized by the Central Mississippi Coalition of Chapters. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "Summer Breeze," it means the Central Mississippi Coalition of Chapters operating the website summerbreezems.com.
Our mailing address is P.O. Box 476, Jackson, MS 39205. You can email us at summerbreezems@gmail.com with any question about this policy or your data.
What we collect
We only collect information that you give us directly, plus a minimal amount of technical data that any website receives when you visit. The Summer Breeze mobile apps collect nothing at all — no account, no sign-in, no name, email, phone number, address, date of birth, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, location, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, crash logs, or analytics. The sections below describe what we collect through the website only.
Information you give us
- Email correspondence. When you email us — for tickets, sponsorship inquiries, volunteer interest, or to join our mailing list — we receive the email address you sent from, your name (if included), and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Mailing list. If you click "Join the list," your email composer opens with a pre-filled message to us. If you send it, we keep your email address on our mailing list until you ask us to remove it.
- Sponsorship & vendor inquiries. Company name, your name, phone number (if you include one), and the level of partnership you're exploring.
Information collected automatically
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard web-server information for every request: your IP address, the page you requested, the page you came from, your browser type, and the timestamp. This is used for security and performance troubleshooting.
- No advertising cookies. We do not set advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site trackers on this site.
How we use it
We use the limited information we have to:
- respond to your email and answer questions about tickets, sponsorship, lodging, volunteering, or the event schedule;
- send occasional event updates, on-sale dates, and reminders to people who have joined our mailing list;
- process sponsorship and vendor relationships;
- operate, secure, and improve the website;
- comply with legal obligations if we ever receive one (for example, a valid subpoena).
We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease your personal information to anyone. Ever.
Third parties we work with
A few services power pieces of our site and event. When you use these, their privacy policies apply alongside ours:
- EventPassHero handles ticket sales. If you buy a ticket, their checkout collects your name, email, and payment details. We receive only the information needed to admit you to the event. See their privacy policy at eventpasshero.com.
- Marriott / The Westin Jackson is our host hotel. If you follow our group-booking link, you'll be redirected to Marriott's reservation system, which is governed by Marriott's privacy policy. Your reservation is between you and Marriott — we never see your reservation details or payment information.
- Apple Maps and Google Maps open when you tap a venue address — whether on the website or in the mobile apps — to get directions. Once you leave our site or app for the maps application, your location lookup and any directions you request are handled by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies; we never see where you are or where you're going.
- Netlify hosts the website and receives the server-log data described above.
- Unsplash hosts a few photographs we reference on the home page. When the page
loads, your browser requests those images from
images.unsplash.com.
We may also share information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Summer Breeze Mississippi, our guests, or the public.
Cookies & analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cross-site trackers. We may, in the future, turn on a privacy-respecting analytics tool (for example, Netlify Analytics, which processes server logs without placing cookies in your browser). If we do, we'll update this policy and clearly describe what is measured.
Your rights & choices
You always have the right to:
- ask us what information we have about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong;
- ask us to delete information we're not legally required to keep;
- unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time — just reply "unsubscribe" to any email or write to us.
To exercise any of these rights, email summerbreezems@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
If you are a resident of California, the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with specific data protection laws, you may have additional rights under those laws (for example, the right to data portability or to file a complaint with a supervisory authority). Contact us and we will work with you to honor applicable rights.
Children's privacy
Summer Breeze Mississippi is an event intended for adult audiences. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the website, please contact us and we will delete it. The Summer Breeze mobile apps do not collect any information at all, so there is no child-specific data on our side associated with the apps.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. Our site is served over HTTPS, our mailbox is hosted by Google with standard account security, and we keep mailing-list data on a limited-access basis. No internet service is perfectly secure, so we can't make absolute guarantees — but we don't collect or store anything we don't need.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as we have a good reason to. Mailing-list addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe. Sponsorship records are kept through the conclusion of the relevant event year plus our accounting retention window. Server logs are retained by Netlify on a rolling basis per their standard policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we start using a new service or if laws change. When we make a material update, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll highlight it on the home page or email the mailing list.
